This harness is designed for exceptional comfort and durability. It includes three points of contact for a lead: two on the back and one on the chest. The design specifically avoids sensitive areas, such as the underarms, which can be prone to rubbing. This not only provides substantial control over your dog but also enhances the walking experience.

Some dogs are nearly impossible to walk, while others tend to pull strongly. Many can wander a lot or may refuse to walk at times. If taking your dog for a walk feels like a struggle, we highly recommend this product. Its multiple contact points reduce the risk of injury and make it easier to control even the most challenging dogs.

If your dog is a strong puller, consider this harness design a game changer. We recommend using it in conjunction with our Double Ended Training Leads, which can be attached to multiple D-Loops on this harness.

Size Guide

The chest measurement of your dog, or the girth, is the first measurement you’ll need to take. This can be taken by placing the measuring tape around the widest part of your dog’s torso, usually just behind the front legs.

The next measurement should be taken around the lower part of your dog’s neck, simply measure the widest part at the base of the neck as this is where the harness is going to sit. This size chart is based on min-max measurements.

Size Neck Girth Chest Girth
A 43cm-64cm 50cm-66cm
B 60cm-71cm 55cm-80cm
C 65cm-91cm 65cm-90cm
D 69-108cm 70-108cm

“Brilliant harness, gives me a lot of control. Buster is a rescue and we’re still working on his walking but this harness has improved it a lot! I’ve repurchased it now for a third time only due to Buster eating them (my fault) and have had to use other harness a few times whilst waiting on my order and they don’t compare to these!”

This signature BullyBillows Combat® Collar clip is designed to withstand hundreds of pounds of pressure. The clip will only open by the use of a human by pressing both levers of the clip. Once locked in, the clasp is further designed to stay in place at the end of the clip by two custom holes to ensure no movement during activities, walks or adventures.

FAQs

Start by unbuckling the harness and having your dog sit or stand still next to you. Slip the harness over their head and pull the straps underneath their tummy. Or, if you have a step-in harness, place it on the floor and help your dog place their feet correctly, before pulling it up over their back. Fasten it up securely, making sure it’s not too tight or too loose, and adjust accordingly.

The best dog harness really depends on the breed, size, and activity level of your dog. The comfortable Hurricane Harness features a useful handle and is super lightweight, while the Premium Harness is a great all-rounder for any dog. The traditional slip-on harnesses offer quick and easy fitting, while step-in harnesses might be better for dogs that dislike harnesses going over their head. And if your dog pulls, the TRI-Harness helps with training to prevent excessive pulling on the lead. You can read more in our Dog Harness Buying Guide. All of our harnesses are lined with Neoprene which is soft and helps avoid harsh burns unlike other brands.

To measure your dog for a harness, grab a measuring tape and wrap it around the widest part of their ribcage, then measure their neck at the base (where the collar sits and not in the middle of the neck). Make sure that the measurements aren’t too tight, but are secure enough that the harness won’t slip off if your dog pulls.

If you have the harness already, try it on your dog and make sure you can fit two fingers between the harness and their body. Finally, monitor your dog’s behaviour - if they’re showing signs of discomfort or walking awkwardly, it may need adjusting more to suit your dog.

To ensure you’re using your dog harness correctly, you need to make sure it’s properly fitted. This means that it’s tight enough to prevent the harness moving, but loose enough to allow your pooch to move comfortably. Attach your lead to your chosen D-ring, whether that’s on their back or their chest, and get ready for your adventure!
